A STUDY OF THE CORELLATION BETWEEN INDICATORS OF PHYSICAL FITNESS AMONG 12–14 YEARS OLD GIRLS AND A SUBSTANTIAL COMPONENT OF COMPETI-TIVE INDIVIDUAL PROGRAMS IN SPORTS AEROBICS

Abstract:

Sports aerobics is a precise sport characterized by the ability of athletes to perform a continuous complex of different music-accompanied highly intensive movements derived from traditional dance. An aerobic competitive program is any exercise in which athletes demonstrate continuous and highly intensive complex of movements, including a combination of acyclic movements with complex coordination, as well as various complex elements of different structural groups and interaction between the partners (mixed duets, triples and groups). The paper presents the results of the analysis of the correlation between general and special physical fitness indicators among 12–14 year old girls involved in training for sports aerobics (the stage of sports specialization). We have analyzed the results according to the features of composition and structure of specific movements in sport aerobics competition combinations based on the analysis of the sports competition video and results of the survey among coaches. The study has revealed that general and special physical fitness indicators in sports aerobics are rather specific and closely related to the indicators of control-transfer standards in related technical and aesthetic sports. The features revealed in the competitive content of individual sports aerobics programs allow developing the most rational approach to the selection of preparatory and bringing exercises in sports aerobics. The study material presented herein can be recommended to sports aerobics coaches planning the training process at the stage of sports specialization, as well as to a wide range of professionals in the field of physical education and sports.
